Castley Foot Health is a Mother & Daughter team offering medical foot health pedicures in Harrogate and surrounding areas of Yorkshire including Otley, Leeds, Knaresborough and York from our well equipped clinic at Castley Farm, Castley.

With over twenty-five years of experience, we can help treat a variety of health or stress-related issues and provide a wonderful environment for relaxation.

Gillian & Helen

GILLIAN

I live on our family farm with my Husband Ian whom runs our dairy farm along side my Son Richard.

I have a daughter Helen whom works along side me as a foot health practitioner and four wonderful (if a little crazy!) Grandchildren.

For many years before I became a pracitioner in complementary medicine I had tried various treatments. It was Reflexology that I found to be so facinating and the most beneficial for my health and wellbeing.

It was incredible that by chance I was given the opportunity to start training in this field back in 1998 and now nearly twenty five years later I still have the privilege of welcoming clients to my practice here at Castley Farm.

In 2008 I trained as a Foot Health Practitioner to add to my treatments.

Our practice is based at my home on our family farm in Castley, which is a small village located between Harrogate and Otley, close to the villages of Huby and Pool in Wharfedale.

 

 

 

 

HELEN

I have run my business as a photographer (Helen Lishman Photography) for 13 years photographing weddings, families & branding shoots for businesses.

Just before lockdown I decided to stop photographing weddings and looked into where I would like to move my career forwards.  I fancied a new challenge!

 I decided to follow in the footsteps of my Mum and I trained as a foot Health practitioner in 2020.

I look forward to training as a reflexologist in the next couple of years.

On my days away from our clinic I look after my two young children and continue to run my photography business photographing families and businesses.

OUR ETHOS

We work hard to create a professional treatment environment that accommodates both the clinical aspect required for the foot health treatment but also allows the room to be tranquil and restful for relaxation.

Our practice is based in our home on our family farm in Castley, which is a small hamlet located between Harrogate and Otley, close to the villages of Huby and Pool in Wharfedale.

There is plenty of room for parking at Castley Farm and you won’t need to worry about beating the local traffic. We’re very easy to find at just half a mile off the main A658 between Huby and Pool on the Otley to Harrogate road.

Helen is friendly and knowledgable and having a foot treatment with her is a lovely treat. After training for the London marathon this year my feet were always in a bit of a state. Helen looked after them so I could continue running. Removing Callus and corns to make it more comfortable and she always advised me on footwear to prevent me losing any nails during my training. I now love having my feet done every six weks and love that Helen can not only medically help my feet but she also makes them pretty with Shellac. Thank you Helen!

Helen is a joy to visit. She is extremely proffessional but friendly and so kind to my poor feet! From removing corns in my feet to warming them with hot towels and a massage. Its a real treat! I always finish with shellac and leave feeling  more comfortsble but also with pretty feet!

My husband and I, both in our 80’s, visit Gillian for our foot health care. We are both diabetic so it is important that our feet are kept in good condition. The treatment room is warm and comfortable and we always leave feeling better for having our treatments. My husband has been a farmer all his life and has lived in wellingtons which is not a good thing but Gillian has done and continues, to do a good job in keeping his feet and toenails in good condition. We appreciate the care we are both given.
